Hannah Update
You may of be been asking, "what is going on with Hannah Trigger"? Well unfortunately Hannah blew her ACL only days before flying out for the NZ Open while hitting some jumps at Perisher.
Hannah's season now consists of the couch, PSP and rehab, we wish Hannah a fast recovery and will keep you in the loop with her return to snow progress.

Stylewars Update
The weather gods have not been to kind to Stylewars this year with the first 2 days canceled because of conditions. Charles Reid did managed to tie for first in the rail comp last night and Mark Sollors scored best trick so at least the boys have some dollars to pay off the bar tab they have been racking up.

NZ Club Field Tour

Down Day In Manly
Mikkel Bang, Mark Sollors, Marko Grilc and Charles Reid landed in Sydney over the weekend. After a night out on the town the boys joined up with Nick " Pistol " Gregory, Chris Boadle and Russell Holt for a down day in Manly which consisted of a late breakfast, surf checking, jump rock and finally a couple of quiet beers at the Wharf Bar. The crew are heading to Falls Creek today for Stylewars and then to the Boost SnoSho at Perisher on Friday.

Dan's Photo Blog
Over on photographer Dan Himbrechts's blog there are some images and a story about a recent shoot he did at Thredbo featuring the skill of the terrain park staff. Burton OZ Team Ride the NZ Stash
Before all the fun and games that was the NZ Open the guys went and rode the Burton Stash which is located at the Remarkables resort. The NZ Stash was the third Stash to be constructed and features a number of stone, concrete and wooden obstacle to jib until you can't jib no more.

The team house in NZ had two very important items that made NZ easy living. These items included a super comfy couch for after riding relaxation and the best cook in snowboarding. Chris McAlpine the editor of Australian & NZ Snowboarding made sure no one went hungry.

NZO Halfpipe Day
The NZ Open halfpipe finals will go down in the history books as a bit of a turning point for new tricks in a competition. To give you an idea of what went on here is the top 3 guys runs.
3rd Kazuhiro Kokubo - Huge McTwist, a frontside 900 tailgrab, an alleyoop chuck nose grab, and a frontside 1080 indy.
2nd Luke Mitrani - Double inverted 900 melon, a frontside 720 indy, a Cab 720 mute and a frontside 900 tailgrab.
1st Shaun White - Frontside lien air, to backside 900 melon, followed by a frontside 1080 stalefish, into a Cab double cork 1080 stalefish, to frontside double cork 900.
Luke Mitrani also took best trick with a Double Michalchuk.
Guys you want to get girls and be famous?
Then learn to ride halfpipe like Mr White.

Yesterday was slopestyle practice and halfpipe qualifications. The weather turned it on with an inversion so that you were riding above the clouds like some sci-fi film.

I Heart Winter - NZ Open Slopestyle Qualifications

NZO Update
By now you know Jye Kearney qualified yesterday for the semi finals of slopestyle at the NZ Open. Chris Boadle is over there keeping us in the loop and here are a collection of photos from yesterdays slopestyle qualifying.
Jye's qualifying run was a cab 270 on the flat down, 50 50 front one on the up bar, cab five, back 7, front 7.
Mitch Allan just missed out on qualifying however if they open up a couple more spots in the semi finals he is in so fingers crossed.
Chris Decampo unfortunately fell on both his runs but who cares when you can throw a tweaked out back 7 japan like this.

What event is complete with out Pistol these days.
