Mitch's Stops

Now that Mitch is back home enjoying a few waves he hit SMM with a quick stop by stop wrap up of his trip.

Stop 1: I lived in Mammoth with my bro (Clint) and Shayne Pospisil. We probably only rode the mountain for about 12 days at the start when it was spring in January!!

Stop 2 : Chris Mcalpine emailed and said come to Jackson Hole which I was stoked about as I have wanted to go there for ages. We had some good pow and even some sunshine, it was a pretty sick trip.

Stop 3: Back to Mammoth and hooked up with Jake Mcbride and Clint. We shot photos in Mammoth and Tahoe for a week where we scored plenty of snow and a little bit more sun.

Stop 4: I headed to LAX and went to Japan and met Nick G and Willy. I spent 1 week on the main island of Japan at Kirroro with amazing snow.

Stop 5: Still in Japan we ferried down to the South Island through some rough seas and dealt with rain every day!!!

Stop 6: After 2 weeks of raw fish in Japan I was very excited to get back to a big burger in the states while chilling in Mammoth.

Stop 7: Then it was north to Whistler to shoot with Johnny Mac and the Jackways brothers Will and Tim. Once again scoring nice weather and decent snow.

The line on the far left is Jonaven Moore while Mitch's is the next one along.

Stop 8: Myself and Johnny hit the road for 12 hours towards Fernie and spent a week in the mountains at Island Lake Lodge with Ryan Tiene, Robbie, Steve Cartright and Clay. This trip was amazing with really good snow, great people, and amazing food.

Stop 9: Then back to Mammoth where I found out Clint was coming home to Australia so I thought I would help him out as flying alone is never fun.

Stop 10: Now I am just chilling at home and seeing if everything falls into place as I am keen to head back over for a northern hemisphere summer camp so we will see what happens.

Hannah's Gear

Hannah has a few more stamps in her passport now she is back. She spent most of her time riding Breckenridge and Copper in the USA. But also went to Korea, Canada, Spain and Italy.

The gear that followed her on this adventure was the Feelgood 152, Escapade bindings and a pair of trusty Emerald boots.

Hit the links here to go check out all the specs on her set up.

Jye's Check In

If you look at this photo above there is a good chance Jye is looking at the same view as he is flying out today for his next stint overseas. Before he had the standard excess luggage argument with the check in people he dropped us this note…..

“I have been super busy lately and just arrived back in OZ yesterday (31st of March). I had just finished 2 days at Northstar riding The Stash with Danny Davis, Luke Mitrani and Charles Reid. It was so awesome hanging and riding with those guys, plus I got photos and footage for the Stash movie."

"I fly back to the USA on the 4th April to Mammoth and then to Keystone Colorado for the Nike 6.0 launch with Pat Bridges and Snowboarder mag. So I am getting ready for a super sweet spring and will be over there until at least mid May. I wont leave my camera at home this time!"

Liam And Tom Ripped Off

We haven’t ripped something off these guys blog in a while so with that in mind we “borrowed” this photo of Tom standing around while there is work to be done. But who can blame him as by the looks of Liam’s photos he would of needed to keep all his strength for the powder runs they did in the Niseko backcountry.

Check out the day they had over at liamandtom.blogspot.com

From The Hard Drive – Falls At Falls 2005

From the hard drive is all about finding images and movies that we had forgotten about. The first post to kick off from the hard drive features current Burton Australia team manager Chris Boadle and his day at the 2005 Open qualifiers at Falls Creek. Chris was killing the course until he came up short on one of the kickers and decided to land on his shoulder. As you can see from the photos Chris not only was in pain but he was also rocking pink pants that season.

Jye Kearney at the Burton US Open

Jye is at the open right now after a few weeks in Salt Lake City filming and shooting with Nick Gregory and Clint Allan. They scored some epic snow and went to one of the forgotten areas of Utah - Powder Mountain.

Nick Sent through this sniper footage of Jye working on his double backs into powder. What!

When at Island Lake....

....try and fit in. Mitch's work in progress mountain beard. They say in Canada, as long as you have 50% of your face covered with hair, you don't even need a passport

Mitch Allan at Island lake lodge

Mitch just checked in from the road and has turned up in Island Lake Lodge. After some epic snow at Sanora pass shooting with Tim Jackways and photog Johnny McCormack he made the trek up north to a place I might visit one day if somehow Paris Hilton runs a bottle bro and that shit heats UP! But for now I'll live through Mitch

"I'm at island lake lodge now after a 12 hour drive and it was worth every little bit, the lodge is 10 out 5 stars pimp rooms hot tubs on the deck the best food I've ever eaten. Sick terrain, we mainly rode the trees today but will be in the alpine tomorrow. On our last runs of the day we painfully watched Jonaven Moore drop some sick lines we were looking at doing....shitloads more to get after though"

Utah

Utah

So just finishing a  super fun adventure to utah with Charles Beckinsale and Cohen davies to hang out with dragon team manger Alex Pashley.  Pashley took us out back to this super fun area to hit this tree slide to long steep landing that looked like it should have been  at the end of a jump. We met up with littles (Alex Sherman)  and Pouch. Wasnt the best snow but we made the most of it hitting some other fun stuff as well. The next day we went to park city  and we forgot the camera being a little excited about riding pc.  Then hit up the natural hot springs
at a place called the pit was one of the funniest parts of the trip. After hit up mexican for the third night in a row with Scotty Arnold.  Was a super fun trip thanks to alex and the boys for showing us a fun time.
